April 4, 2014. Three office buildings have been commissioned in Yekaterinburg since the beginning of the year – Chaikovsky, Arena, and the building within the Clever Park Unit. This amounts to 19,400 sq m worth of office space, Ural Chamber of Real Estate's press service says.

As for last year. For instance, 47,000 sq m worth of office buildings and similar facilities were put up.

The demand for office space still remains high, Despite the fact that new buildings get added to the market supply en masse, the availability of vacant office space actually kept going down during the year. The amount of available spaces in Class A business centers dropped from 29% to 19.5% over four quarters. As for Class B, the figures were less significant, but the trend was the same: the amount of vacant office space shifted from 18% to 14%. The trend did not touch upon the smallest market segment, however, that is, upon Class B+ office buildings. The demand for these still stood at 7%. This figure was not due to the fact that no one looked for this quality type office buildings but due to the fact that Arena Business Center was launched, with plenty of office spaces available for rent at the time of the launch.
