April 2, 2014. The would-be 'white metallurgists' underwent internships at Gazprom facilities. Within one week, students from ChTPZ Group's Training Center were delivered a series of lectures in Noviy Urengoi Vocational School for Gas Industry, paid visits to the natural gas and oil-producing facilities and looked into the technology of producing, transporting, and processing of natural gas as well as got acquainted with the modern requirements imposed on the O&G equipment in the Polar North, ChTPZ Group's press service says.
'It is essential for us as the future employees of Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant to see for ourselves and gauge the scale of production facilities where our pipes are used,' says Ulyana Izosimova, a Training Center student.
The visit to Gazprom facilities also included the signature of a cooperation agreement between ChTPZ Group Training Center and Noviy Urengoi Vocational School for Gas Industry. The agreement provides for student exchange programs, short-term special purpose courses for students, and professional development courses and on-site internships for foremen and teachers. Besides, the two educational establishments are planning to work together on enhancing the quality of methodological training offered to blue-collar workers and on the introduction of new educational technologies.
