Russia's Emergency Ministry awards medals to ChTZ workers

March 27, 2014. The Russian Federation Emergency Ministry issued a decree awarding the Marshal Vassily Chuikov Medal to the head of Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ, a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) Fire Fighting Department Valentin Tambovtsev and his deputy Sergey Ponichev.
'The company firefighters have been taking care of fire safety at both ChTZ and a multi-storey apartment block in Churilovo (Tractorozavodskoy District of Chelyabinsk) for the third year now. The plant's firefighting team unit is located right next to the newly built apartment buildings as well as to the private houses and cottage communities, so they are the first to arrive at the scene of the outbreak. There were 211 such cases in two years,' says Uralvagonzavod Corporation's press service.
It was announced during the awarding ceremony that the enterprise employees were awarded for their helping the city of Chelyabinsk and ensuring fire safety at the apartment blocks of buildings located within the vicinity of the plant.
