March 14, 2014. Following the Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin's Decree 128 as of January 24, 2013, Russia's Defense Ministry, Russia's Industry & Trade Ministry, and Russia's Economics Ministry decided to make Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation the sole executive body of eight repair companies: Spetsremont, 22BTRZ, 61 BTRZ, 81 BTRZ, 103 BTRZ, 144 BTRZ, 163 BTRZ, 560 BTRZ, and 192 TsZZhT. The companies are located in different parts of Russia and employ several thousand people altogether, the corporation's press service says.

The corporation is currently undergoing all the corporate procedures for the purpose.

It should also be noted that the Defense Ministry is currently working on signing contracts with the military vehicles manufacturers so that the corporation could service these throughout a vehicle's entire lifespan, from design to recycling.

Besides, the Defense Ministry restored the repair units for military troops to handle uncomplicated repair and maintenance cases.

An extensive O&M network will reduce the time spent on delivering a military vehicle to the place of repair and back and will therefore cut down on transport expenses and will also meet the repair units' needs for spare parts, joints, and items for on-site repairs.

It is crucial to mention that integrating repair plants into Uralvagonzavod Corporation's structure will make it possible to offer tech support at every stage of a military vehicle's lifespan.
