February 05, 2014. Pipe Metallurgical Company's (TMK) servicing center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, called Threading and Mechanical Key Premium LLC was certified by Abu Dhabi Company for Offshore Oil Operations (ADCO) as the oil and gas servicing sector supplier.

According to the company's press service, getting certified will mean the company will be eligible to take part in ADCO tenders for the production of premium threaded joints and repairing pipe products separately or as part of the delivery package.

'To compete in the tenders that have been run by ADCO and other large companies based in the Middle East over the last few years, a company must operate servicing centers in the area and offer options on the delivery of marker joints and all sorts of accessories,' the message states.

Prior to getting certified, the company had to undergo an audit procedure that was carried out by ADCO specialists. The inspection involved making samples of premium threaded joints from the ТМК UP — TMK PF family for the casing with the diameter of 7” (177.8mm) and installation of couplings as well as hydraulic pressure tests of the sample products. Following the tests, the auditors said they were quite satisfied with the results.
