Yekaterinburg Nuclear Energy Information Center to act as Google contest local coordinator

January 31, 2014. The Nuclear Energy Information Center is going to act as a media partner for the Google Go Digital Generation Contest aimed at schoolchildren and college students, the Yekaterinburg center's press service reports.

Under the framework of this project, training sessions and master classes on Internet project development will be conducted on the premises of ten Russian Nuclear Energy Information Centers. At the end of the contest, a member of the board of jurors and the center's Director-General Maria Uvarova will award the winning project a special prize from the center and Rosatom State Corporation.

Google Go Digital Generation Contest is a great opportunity for high school and college students to create their own project on the web and to gain new expertise in the Internet technologies sector. The winner will be awarded a five-day trip to the United States, that is, to Google headquarters. 6 finalists and 13 semi-finalists will receive honorary participant diplomas and tablet computers. The Internet Users' Choice Award (a laptop computer) will be given to the contestant who wins in the online voting procedure,' the center's press service says.
