January 22, 2014. Vietnam-Ural, the official dealer of Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ, a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation), received a thank-you letter from Chelyabinsk Region Government.
According to the corporation's press service, the letter comments on the significant contribution this joint venture made to the development of the South Urals' economy and on the active part the business takes in strengthening the two countries' friendship and business cooperation.
'The plant's dealer set up a reliable channel through which Chelyabinsk-made equipment gets to Southeast Asia. In the last three years alone, twenty track-laying vehicles were delivered to Vietnamese customers. All the tractors that come from Chelyabinsk get to the port of Haiphong by sea in a dismantled mode. The JV tried assembling the bulldozers from the so-called vehicle sets for the first time last year. This is the technology currently used in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan,' the press service says.
The corporation reports that Vietnam is now one of the plant's biggest customers in the far abroad.
