Uralvagonzavod directs over 240m RUR to charity in 2013

January 17, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation was commended for 'taking part in charity events, impressive corporate social responsibility, and direct help to those in need in 2013'. The corporation spent over 240m RUR on charity last year, the company's press service reports.

'A thank-you letter was addressed to the corporation's Director-General Oleg Sienko and the entire worker team and signed by Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev, Sverdlovsk Region Prime Minister Denis Pasler, Chair of Sverdlovsk Region Legislative Assembly Ludmila Babushkina, and heads of local NGOs. The letter says that Uralvagonzavod's charity activity 'promotes the revival of Russia's great ethics culture,' the press release says.

Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation directed over 240m RUR to charity in 2013. Help was given to both organizations and enterprises as well as specific private individuals. Investments in the development of Sputnik Sports Club and pre-school and educational establishments for the children of Nizhniy Tagil were among last year's largest projects.
