December 5, 2013. Atomstroycomplex Corporation is planning to put up a multi-purpose center at the intersection of Malyshev St and Krasnoarmeyskaya St; this will be started only next year, the company's Director-General Valeriy Ananyev said at a press conference.
It was as early as in 2011 that Atomstroycomplex planned to start the construction of the Radisson Hotel there. However, in the summer of 2013 the company announced the construction of a multi-purpose center called Opera; the center will host shopping areas, an entertainment center, some apartment blocks, and a hotel in the (at least) four-star category.
'This project has a very long history. We were initially planning to put up a hotel in partnership with SRV International. They decided not to work on this project, however, and we are now doing business with another operator and have already designed a new project,' Ananyev explained. He also said that the building would be 42 storeys high.
