MMK comes first in Ural & Siberia’s metallurgical companies rating

October 31, 2013. The rating of Ural and Siberia’s 400 largest metallurgical companies carried by the Expert-Ural magazine gives the first place among the Top 20 ferrous metallurgical enterprises to Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK).

Besides, MMK Group came fourth in the Expert-Ural’s basic rating that accounts for the performance of enterprises from all sectors based on their consolidated proceeds (calculated in accordance with the IAS) in 2012. The holding’s revenue for last year was 289.9bn RUR, which means the Group retained the same position as last year. This is actually the highest among all the companies outside the oil and gas sector.

Expert-Ural 400 is a yearly rating that features companies from the Urals and Western Siberia that are located in ten Russian Federation constituencies. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works is one of the world’s largest steel manufacturers and one of the leaders on the Russian ferrous metallurgical enterprises market. The company’s Russian assets are represented by a large metallurgical facility with a full production cycle ranging from iron ore raw materials to deep-level processing of ferrous metals.
