Sverdlovsk Region employers owe their workers over 5m RUR in wages

October 17, 2013. The workforce of the Russian Federation had a total of 3.169bn RUR worth of unpaid wages as of October 1, 2013, Rosstat refers to the employers (excluding the small businesses) as reporting.

This is 18.3%, or 490m RUR, more than on September 1, 2013.

The arrears of wages resulting from the companies lacking their own funds was 3.092bn RUR, or 97.6% of the total amount, on October 1, 2013. This is 449m RUR (17%) more than on September 1, 2013. The arrears of wages that were due to the fact that subsidies from all sorts of state budgets were late amounted to 77m RUR, which was 41m RUR (2.1 times) more than a month earlier. This included 52m RUR not transferred from the federal budget (this was 34m RUR, or two times, more than a month earlier), 5.5m RUR not transferred from the budgets of Russian Federation constituencies (which was 4.9m RUR, or 9.5 times more), and 20m RUR not transferred from the local budgets (which was 3m RUR, or 16% more than a month earlier).
