MegaFon to act as primary 4G Internet provider for Russia Arms Expo 2013

September 25, 2013. MegaFon announces its telecommunications network is ready for the launch of Russia Arms Expo 2013 in Nizhniy Tagil. For the first time in Russia, the mobile carrier’s portable stations will provide 4G Internet connection on the exhibition premises, the company’s press service reports.

MegaFon will also offer free Wi Fi Internet connection to all the visitors to and the participants of the exhibition. This means exhibitors and reporters will be able to transfer data on the achievements presented at the exhibition at the speed of up to 50 Megabits per second.

‘The upcoming exhibition will gather the major representatives of the arms and defense industry sectors from all over the world. To prepare for this event, we had the network capacity doubled to sustain the increased workload. We are going to provide our customers with reliable 2G, 3G, and 4G connection,’ MegaFon Ural’s Infrastructure Director Anton Scherbakov says.

MegaFon is also planning to present its solutions on spy-proof connection for the defense departments and ministries at the exhibition. The media representatives and all the visitors exhibitors will also be able to get acquainted with the presentation on the company’s unique solutions at the special MegaFon stand.
