TMK wins tender to deliver pipes to Yamal SPG

September 17, 2013. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) won the tender for the delivery of pipe produce to Yamal SPG, the enterprise's press service reports.

Yamal SPG, whose shares belong to Novatek and the French O&G company Total, is now working on the development of Yuzhno-Tambeiskoye natural gas condensate deposit located in the north-east of the Yamal Peninsula. The large-scale project on the development of the deposit provides for the construction of some 200 wells, a plant meant for natural gas liquefaction with the capacity of 16.5m tons a year, an international sea port, and an international airport.

In July 2013, TMK was declared the winner of the tender for the contract on the delivery of casing pipes, pumping and compression pipes, adapters, filters, and nozzles for the oil wells in Yuzhno-Tambeiskoye natural gas condensate deposit in 2013-2020.

The company is to deliver 7,000 kg of casing and pumping and compression pipes to Yamal this year, including 6,000 kg of cold-resistant pipes with premium joint threads. The shipment will be completed by members of TMK TAGMET – Seversky, Sinara, and Volzhsky Plants, while the casing components were made by Orsk Machine-Building Plant, TMK NGS-Buzuluk, and TMK-Kaztrubprom.
