TMK NGS-Nizhnevartovsk launches protective coating department

June 25, 2013. On June 20, 2013, a solemn opening ceremony of the internal protective pipe coating department took place at TMK NefteGasService Nizhnevartovsk (TMK NGS-Nizhnevartovsk, a member of Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK)), the company’s press service reports.
The event was attended by representatives of oil-producing companies – LUKoil, Rosneft, and Tatneft, and those of oil-related services companies and local oil production market operators. The traditional red ribbon at the new department was cut by TMK Deputy Director-General for premium products and services and TMK NefteGasService Sergey Bilan, the Managing Director of TMK NGS-Nizhnevartovsk Pavel Kotlevsky, and CEO of the Netherlands-based Turn Key Pipeline Services B.V. Wayne Buttimore.
The internal coating department is located on the 2,900 sq m of the reconstructed pipe casing department. The machinery was supplied by Turn Key Pipeline Services. The line is meant for making annually up to 32,000 tons of pipes with the diameter of 73 to 168mm with the protective corrosion-resistant coating. The technical capacity of the new line makes it possible to apply the internal coating to the entire range of pipes and OCTG that is produced by the Russian companies that TMK NGS-Nizhnevartovsk is doing business with within the framework of its internal cooperation program.
