May 30, 2013. A high-precision Zeiss check station will be installed at Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant’s cutting-edge technologies production site, Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s press service reports (ChTZ is a member of the corporation).

It is reported that this modern piece of equipment was produced in Germany at the famous Zeiss enterprise that is well-known for the great quality of the tools it makes.

The measuring accuracy of the machine is estimated at 3.7 microns: no other check tool that the plant’s metrologists are using at the moment is as precise as that. Thanks to this new electronic station, the plant’s specialists will be able to check the spare parts for which precision matters very much to ensure the reliability of the engines ChTZ makes.

The check station that arrived from Germany is the company’s second apparatus meant for controlling the quality of goods manufactured with the help of the hi tech metal-cutting equipment. The Italian DEA global’s unit that was launched in 2007 was the first such device.
