May 29, 2013. Komsomolskaya Pravda carried a report on the findings of a research carried out by the Economic News Agency on the PR activity of the Russian business community in the first quarter of 2013.

BOD Chairman of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Viktor Rashnikov was given the 18th position in the rating of Russia’s leading PR personalities. In fact, the Agency also carried out another research that was focused on how accurately and conscientiously businesses and banks inform the public of their activity. This is the responsibility of their PR Departments, so the rating of those was compiled on the basis of an expert survey in Q1’13. MMK press service was given the 17th position in the Russian PR Departments rating, which is the best result among the country’s ferrous metallurgical enterprises.

MMK press service is going to celebrate its 20th anniversary soon: it was set up in 1993. Its main function is to disseminate accurate information on the company performance, its achievements, problems, and prospects. In June 1995, a PR Center was established on the basis of the company press service, comprising the press service, the editor’s board of Magnitogorsky Metal, and a team of sociologists.
