May 27, 2013. ChTPZ Group experts are taking part in the 3d All-Russian Steel Pipes Market and Local Sales Conference in Volzhsky. The agenda of the conference covers reports by representatives of the country’s leading pipe manufacturers, metallurgical enterprises, and metal goods traders, who will speak of their vision of how the pipe industry and adjacent businesses will develop and which market segments will grow the fasters, ChTPZ Group’s press service reports.

‘In 2012, the weldless pipes market went back to its pre-recession figures. In 2008, this market volume stood at 2,826,000 tons, in 2009, it was 2,005,000 tons, and in 2012, it was 2,988,000 tons,’ says ChTPZ Group representative and Director-General of Uraltrubostal Trading Firm Roman Zelenin.

‘As for the further development of the weldless pipes market, the OCTG market is expected to rise to between 0.1% to 4%, while the industrial pipes market might decline by 5%. All in all, the Russian conventional pipes market is expected to drop by about 3% this year,’ Zelenin explained.

More than 120 delegates are taking part in the conference altogether. The event was held in Yekaterinburg last year and included a day trip to Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (a member of ChTPZ Group).
