May 21, 2013. The quality of 12-132 high-sided wagons produced at Uralvagonzavod meets the highest standards set by the Russian Quality program. This has been confirmed by the All-Russian Quality Organization’s diploma issued to Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s head plant.

Under this program, the quality of goods is assessed on the basis of qualitative, measurable data that are obtained in accordance with a pre-determined procedure and are put down in a report. Not only the quality of a product or a service is assessed, but also the conditions in which it was produced and sold, as this affects the quality greatly. Developing the assessment procedure and implementing it rests with the experts selected out of the most highly qualified representatives of industrial scientific research institutes, colleges, certification bodies, and independent expert organizations.

Now that it has the diploma, Uralvagonzavod both proved that the quality of its produce meets the highest standards and got the right to use the Russian Quality sign on its 12-132 high-sided wagon for three years free of charge. This is a four-axle, all-purpose, full metal high-sided wagon with side walls and hatches on the floor. The wagon is meant for transporting bulky goods as well as stack and break bulk cargo that doesn’t have to be protected from rain or snow; the wagon can be used on the railways in Russia, the CIS, and the Baltic states provided the rail gage is 1,520 mm.
