ChTZ Veterans’ Club declared Chelyabinsk’s best

May 16, 2013. Tankograd, a veterans’ club of Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ, a member of Uralvagonzavod Corporation), was declared the best in the Socio-Political Organizations category, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.

The plant club’s Chairman Eduard Sobolev was given an honorary certificate signed by the city manager of Chelyabinsk Sergey Davydov in the course of a solemn ceremony. In his thank-you speech, the head of Tankograd expressed his gratitude to the city for the high estimate of the veterans’ efforts in the field of the military-patriotic education of young people and thanked his long-time helpers: the club’s activists Boris Boguslavsky, Ivan Grabar, Anna Korkina, Zoe Morozova, Alexandra Frolova, and Gennady Shishkin. All of them meet with the local students quite often.

Chairman of the Municipal Veterans’ Council Vladimir Gruzdev also spoke very highly of Tankograd’s long-time contribution to Chelyabinsk social life.

Tankograd was set up in 1994 and was declared the best veterans’ club in Chelyabinsk in 2007 and the best club in Chelyabinsk Region in 2010. The club’s forty-something members have met with the local youth over a thousand times. 62 patriotic education lessons have been given in the year 2013 alone.
