Uralvagonzavod to supply 1,200 cisterns to Russian Railways

April 26, 2013. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation won a tender for the delivery of 1,200 oil cisterns to Federal Freight Company, the corporation’s press service reports.
The news became known when Russian Railways Trading House announced the results of an open tender for the right to sign a freight carriages delivery contract with the enterprise. According to the company’s decision, UBT-Uralvagonzavod that took part in the tender on Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s behalf was declared the winning bidder in two lots for the delivery of 1,200 oil cisterns in April and May 2013.
The cisterns produced by Uralvagonzavod will be used by Federal Freight Company (of which 100% minus one share belongs to Russian Railways).
It is reported that the tender was peculiar in that it was actually conducted electronically through Russian Railways Electronic Trading Floor system.
