Dmitri Pumpyanski Elected New Chairman of UFU Supervisory Board

April 24, 2013. President of Sverdlovsk Region Union of Industrialists & Employers and BOD Chairman of Pipe Metallurgical Company and Sinara Group Dmitri Pumpyanski was elected the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ural Federal University, the college press service reports.

Among the other members of the Supervisory Board are Rector of Higher School of Economics Yaroslav Kuzminov and Chairman of the Strategic Initiatives Agency’s Expert Council for New Projects Promotion Valery Fadeyev, as well as Russia’s Deputy Minister for Education & Science Igor Fedyukin and Head of Sverdlovsk Region division of the Federal Public Property Management Agency Alexei Rogov.

Chairman of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Ural Branch Valery Charushin, Director-General of UMMC Holding Andrei Kozitsin, Member of the Soviet of the Federation Arkady Chernetsky, and Director of B.N. Yeltsin Fund Tatiana Yumasheva will also retain their membership. Besides, the meeting on April 19 was also attended by Vice Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Yakov Silin.

It is reported that under the NGO Act, the Supervisory Board is one of the university’s most important regulatory bodies alongside with the Employee Conference and the Learned Council.
