UDMZ Gets Nuclear License

April 12, 2013. Ural Diesel Engine Plant (UDMZ) got a license that allows it to design and manufacture machinery for the nuclear units, Sinara Group’s PR Department reports.

UDMZ (a member of Sinara Transport Machines Holding) obtained the licenses from Rostechnadzor’s Sverdlovsk Region division of the Nuclear & Radiation Safety Surveillance Division. The licenses will be valid for the next five years.

These licenses will mean the plant will be able to produce diesel power plants in accordance with all the requirements that the customers set out for the design and production of this type of equipment. The plant is also planning to design and manufacture diesel power plants for both the nuclear and the other sectors of the Russian industry.
