ChTZ to Deliver 10 Bulldozers to Vietnam

27 November 2012 (09:45)

November 27, 2012. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation, signed two contracts for the delivery of ten B-12 bulldozers to Vietnam with the Hanoi subsidiary of VU TRAK, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.

The bulldozers will be delivered in two installments. The first five vehicles will be shipped in November, and five more will be shipped in December. The plant is to manufacture the tropics-suited version of the bulldozers: the electrical equipment will be supplied with extra protection against the hot and humid climate, and the tractors will be coated with a paint that is more resistant to the tropical conditions.

The tractors will travel a long way first by railways to Saint Petersburg and then to Hai Phong. The bulldozers will not be assembled: the modules will be placed inside 40ft containers, and the plant’s Vietnamese partners will assemble these in Hanoi.

The Chelyabinsk-produced bulldozers will be operated by Vietnam’s Defense Ministry Engineering Corps.
