November 27, 2012. The Urals branch of MegaFon announces its mobile network is ready for the mountain skiing season, when both the number of phone calls and online activity are expected to increase dramatically in popular winter skiing locations, the company’s press service reports.

As for Sverdlovsk Region, the skiers and snowboarders who use MegaFon can rely on the carrier’s services in such popular mountains as Yezhovaya, Pilnaya, Listvennaya, Belaya, Uktus, Volchikha, and others.

‘Prior to this year’s launch of the mountain ski resorts telecommunications services, the company’s engineers carried out all the necessary technical jobs and prepared the network equipment for the doubling of the stations workload. The volume of Internet traffic is growing alongside the number of phone calls now, as our subscribers upload increasingly more holiday photos onto their social network profiles right from the slope of a mountain rather than from their home computers,’ says MegaFon Ural Technical Director Anton Shcherbakov.

The carrier also guarantees good quality connection at the ski resorts in Chelyabinsk Region, namely, Solnechnaya Dolina, Minyar, Rider, and in Mounts Zavyalikha, Adjigardak, Yegoza, and Vishnevaya.

In Perm Territory, winter time holidaymakers will be able to call their friends and relatives and share their impressions right from such ski resorts as Gubakha, Zhebren, Polazna, Svetlyachok, and Ashatli.
