Uralvagonzavod Presents Promising Vehicles at Russian Defence Expo 2012

Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation presented is most promising vehicles at Russian Defence Expo 2012 in Nizhniy Tagil. The corporation’s exhibits comprised a wide range of various products for the Russian Ministry of Emergencies, the defense industry, and the forestry facilities.
Uralvagonzavod launched an outdoor demonstration of vehicles meant for putting out forest fires: the firefighting unit LPA 521 manufactured at the company’s Rubtsov subsidiary and RT-M-160U tractor with an added firefighting device made on the site in Nizhniy Tagil.
Visitors to and participants of the fair could also get acquainted with the full-track forestry vehicles made at Chelyabinsk-based Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant Uraltrac and the transporter DT-2P designed by Ishimbay-based Vityaz, a machine-building company. The two-link full-track transporter is great for trying road and climate conditions.
All these goods were estimated highly by the experts.
The Russian Ministry of Emergencies expressed an interest in the multi-purpose TMV-2 vehicle that was originally designed for the railway industry’s needs but whose great potential was appreciated not only by the railway workers. Upon the Russian Ministry of Emergencies’ request, Uralvagonzavod will adjust TMV-2 for fighting forest fires.
Besides, a presentation of Uralvagonzavod’s military vehicles was organized specially for the delegation from the People’s Republic of China’s Defense Ministry, the enterprise’s press service reports.
