Uralvagonzavod Joins Russia’s Socially Efficient Enterprise Contest

Uralvagonzavod (the main enterprise of UVZ Corporation) joined the regional tour of the All-Russian contest on Russia’s Enhanced Social Efficiency Enterprise.
The enterprise competes in the following categories:
The cadre potential development in the production sector organizations;
The promotion of a healthy lifestyle in the production sector organizations;
The social partnership development in the production sector organizations;
Taking part in solving the social problems of local areas and development of corporate charity.
Uralvagonzavod can expect to win in all the four categories because of its proactive social policy and a lot of efforts in the field of cadre potential development and living standards improvements.
Today, Nizhniy Tagil’s primary employer keeps supporting its workers and veterans and finances certain social infrastructure facilities as well as works on such national projects as Health, Education, Culture, and Affordable Housing and on such local projects as Glory to the Man of Labor and The Senior Generation.
Uralvagonzavod made a significant contribution not only to the development of the town but also to the development of the entire region, and this contribution has already been estimated quite highly. In 2011, the company was given the first prize in the 8th industrial contest The Best Enterprise/Organization in the Social Partnership System. The contest was held by the Russian Industry & Trade Ministry’s Conventional Weaponry, Ammunition, and Chemical Weapons Department, by the Russian Union of Industrialists & Employers, and by the All-Russian Trade Union of Defense Industry Workers’ Central Committee.
