186bn RUR Worth of Contracts Signed at Innoprom

34 contracts worth a total of 186bn RUR were signed at the international exhibition and forum Innoprom, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev announced at a press conference in Yekaterinburg.
Last year, 180bn RUR worth of agreements was signed.
‘Let’s not engage in deception: a lot of these contracts could have been signed outside Innoprom, but signing them there enhances their status. Many of these agreements were signed in the presence of the Russian Prime Minister and the Governor, which imposes additional responsibility upon the parties. This is one reason why we want important contracts to be signed at the exhibition rather than elsewhere,’ Kuivashev said.
He also added that the operator in charge of coordinating the fair had made some profit for the first time (about 15m RUR).
‘This is not a huge profit at the moment, but we have grounds to believe that it will keep on growing every year,’ the Governor noted.
The operator for next year’s Innoprom will be selected in the course of an open tender.
