Sverdlovsk Region Arbitration Court stopped the proceedings relating to the claim laid by the Ural Region’s strong drinks supplier ZAO SECOM against Kostya Tszyu Boxing Academy; the plaintiff originally insisted on being paid 50,000 RUR in accordance with the loan agreement.
The claim was placed with the court by the plaintiff on March 23, 2012.
SECOM’s Legal Department told UrBC earlier that the fund was lent 1m RUR, but the remaining portion of the debt, 50,000 RUR, had to be claimed in court, despite all the existing arrangements and the Academy’s promise to pay the money back.
According to the files of the case, the defendant produced a payment slip confirming the debt repayment in the course of the preliminary court hearing. The court then decided to stop the proceedings and to make Kostya Tszyu Boxing Academy Fund pay SECOM 2,000 RUR in compensation of the state fees.
