Minsk Automobile Plant to Make Trailers in Tyumen Region

Byelorussia-based Minsk Automobile Plant is considering setting up automobile trailers production facility at Ishim Machine-Building Plant, the Governor of Tyumen Region’s press-service reports.
‘The first talks with the representatives of Minsk Automobile Plant were held in January, and now experts have paid a visit to the enterprise, looked at the available sites, and assessed their potential. The Byelorussian Honorary Consul in Tyumen Region’s Assistant Sergey Yefimchik says that the representatives of the plant and those of Mogilev Bus Plant are going to draw up a business plan on the new production facility very soon,’ the message states.
According to First Deputy Mayor of Ishim Vladimir Ovchinnikov, the investors were primarily interested in the plant’s unused spaces.
‘They are considering the opportunity to set up an automobile trailer production facility there. The introduction of such a facility will definitely benefit both the performance of the machine-building plant and the town’s economic climate,’ Ovchinnikov said.
