Yekaterinburg’s IT Companies Featured at CeBIT-2012 in Hanover

Yekaterinburg-based IT companies presented their products at a united Russian stand called Information Technologies in Science, Education, & Business in the course of the international exhibition CeBIT-2012 in Hanover, Sverdlovsk Region IT & Communications Ministry’s press service reports.

This major international IT and telecommunication technologies fair was held on March 6-10, 2012. The exhibition is held every year starting from 1986 and is, in fact, one of the most important global events in the field.

The united Russian exposition by Russia’s Education & Science Ministry displayed at CeBIT-2012 presented the unique results of fundamental and applied research by state-run scientific enterprises and small innovational businesses from twelve Russian regions to the global professional community. Such Yekaterinburg-based companies as 741 Studios, PowerContent, Beegoo, Vidikor, Olaholo, and Р2Р Technologies took part in the exhibition. The Urals delegation was chaired by Sverdlovsk Region IT & Communications Minister Irina Bogdanovitch.

According to the Minister, the CeBIT stand opens a way to the European and world markets for small innovational businesses. The participants featured at the stand received proposals on joint scientific research projects and were offered new promotion channels and organizational development options in united Europe.

During the fair, Bogdanovitch held talks with the representatives of Germany’s IT cluster, which might result in German companies joining the Ural International Industry & Innovations Exhibition/Forum Innoprom in 2012.
