Polish visa center to open in Yekaterinburg

Poland’s visa center will open in Yekaterinburg soon, the representatives of the Polish embassy in Russia told reporters in the course of their visit to Yekaterinburg.

‘We understand that there is no point in setting up a Polish consulate in Yekaterinburg at the moment, the city does not particularly need it. We have already got representations in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Irkutsk, and Kaliningrad, and we are not planning on opening any more for the time being. However, we did decide to set up a visa center. This will make our job easier and reduce the waiting lines. This also means that travelers will be able to get their Polish visas issued without having to travel outside of their city. This is very convenient,’ the embassy representative said.

The officials did not quote any specific dates for the opening, but they are already negotiating with Sverdlovsk Region authorities on this matter.
