UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 12, 2011. Russian Copper Company is going to install a crusher produced by Metso Minerals at the 220-meter mine level at its Mikheyevsky Ore Mining & Processing Plant.

According to the company’s press service, the primary crusher has the capacity of processing 4,000 tons of ore an hour and will be installed directly at the open mine that is currently under construction at Mikheyevsky Ore Mining & Processing Plant. The use of a crusher which is so highly productive and which delivers the ore onto the main belt and then directly onto the processing plant (which eliminates the needs for transfer by trucks) is unique to Russian non-ferrous metallurgical enterprises. The ground bunker of the crusher is to be located at the 250-meter level, while the main belt is to be located at the 220-meter one.

Such was the decision made by Russian Copper Company and Metso Minerals (France) SA experts, who coordinated all the technical details and accepted the design documentation for the project.
