IKEA Yekaterinburg violates consumers’ rights

Experts from Central Yekaterinburg Department of Sverdlovsk Region division of Rospotrebnadzor (the state consumer rights agency) completed its inspection of Yekaterinburg-based IKEA-DOM located at 87 Metallurgov St, namely, of the Swedish food store, of non-grocery merchandise IKEA Yekaterinburg store, of Bistro café, of a speed-service store, and of an employee cafeteria. Some violations were detected in the course of the inspection.
Following the inspection, seven people had to face administrative liability and pay thirteen fines altogether, with charges based on Articles 6.3., 6.6., 14.4.(part 1),14.8. (part 1), and 14.15 of the Russian Federation Administrative Offense Code; the legal entity had to pay two fines, with charges based on Articles 6.3. and 14.8. (part 1) of the Russian Federation Administrative Offense Code; the total sum amounted to 29,500 RUR. The head of the organization was ordered to eliminate the violations.
