Red Cross Office Opens in Yekaterinburg

An extraordinary meeting of Sverdlovsk Region division of the All-Russian NGO Russian Red Cross took place in Yekaterinburg.
The organization’s press service reports the meeting resulted in the decision to improve the performance of this regional division, for one, to switch from handling citizens’ applications twice a week to doing so five days a week. Starting August 22, 2011, every person in need of help and support can apply to Russian Red Cross at 16 Komintern St (off 718) on any weekday.
One can get professional legal advice and help here, inquire about migration issues, and the socially vulnerable classes can get some humanitarian aid. The appointments will be handled by the Chair and the members of the presidium, lawyers, and volunteers,’ the organization reports.
